Viki... things here are not always easy to figure out at first... i found that if you click the name of the person it brings you to their personals and i think it's "about me" where you can find Albums... give that a try!!!!

    Vickie,
FlowerGirl is what that pattern was called. I think the name changes depending on how it is pieced. When it is made with diamonds it is called Bride's Bouquet.
The 3-D Bow-Tie is another pattern I found in the Marti Michell books. I imagine that you could google a pattern off of the internet.
Thanks for all of the lovely comments on my Swap album!

I've been quilting since last August (2011) and I have the Horizon 7700. I looked at the 11000 but even used it was out of my price range and the reason I was interested in it (the machine quilting) was too fussy and complicated (marking the quilt top first, etc.) for my impatient self! I chose the Horizon because I wanted to mainly fmq on it and I do all my quilting at home (all my quilts so far were on my little 3160) except the Arbor Roses and the Winding Stars table runner, which were my first projects on my Horizon. I'm in Ontario, Canada, btw.

Yes, I love the color catchers! i don't know what would happen if i didn't use them but so far nothing has run and i use them for insurance! i'm heading to the States soon and will stock up! I used one charm pack on the watercolor garden quilt then added the borders & backing & binding. It's a pretty small quilt though. Spray basting is the best and I'm just piecing a backing now to baste this afternoon (the 16 patch quilt). Thanks again for all the encouraging and sweet comments! Have fun...off to quilt now!

Hi Vicki. thanks for all the photos comments - I'm working my way through them! lol! No, I don't use a binding foot. I just machine stitch with a walking foot (1/4" walking foot now with my new machine) and then hand stitch on the back. I did buy a binding foot to try but it didn't work with the width binding I was using (2-1/2") and was a total pain to use. Personally, looks like a useful tool but didn't work for me and I don't think it's worth it!

    ~ Hi Vicky~
I don't know what I would do without My Toys!...LOL
It sure makes it easier to sew and piece together the blocks. THank-You for your coment.

As for the June taylor That's My FAV Ruler. Althought it only goes to 12 inch
I'm in the process of getting the 23 or 24 inch ruler so I don't have to STOP and move anything while cutting Strips(Don't You just HATE THAT!) LOL

    PEACE 2-U-2

About JimsQueenie
Biography:
My name is Vicki Robles and I was born in Seattle, WA. My dad was transferred to the Bay Area of CA when I was just starting high school. In 1980 I met my husband and we were married in 1982. I was in a serious car accident in the mountains where we lived in 1984 and began hand piecing tops. Couldn't wait to get to a sewing machine which happened in 1992. I have been quilting, slowly, ever since and I love it!! Love the piecing the most. And, taking classes! I would love to meet new friends here who have the same interest. My husband retired from the CA fire dept. after 37 years--bless his heart and helps me whenever I need it. He almost knows how to piece himself!! LOL
