Thanks for your comment on my frog blanket. The way I did it was to make sure I had four repeats of the patterns on the fabric. Then I cut strips and subcut them into strips where I stacked up the repeats as closly as I could. Then I cut the stack into squares and made the kaleidoscope like blocks. You can search on Four Patch Posey for more info. Leigh

thanks for your note dear! I love the t-shirt quilt to. I used all old childhood T-shirts of my son who is 28 already :-) for the backing i used his old "the simpsons" bedclothes. He was really touched getting such a christmas present. His eyes came a bit wet :-) it wa sooooooooo sweet. Its a really good surprise for anyone who wants to keep the memories alive ... just do it, its fun. There is a great MSQC tutorial, it helps alot.
    Happy quilting :-)

Thank you for commenting on my Jacob Ladder's blocks and the fact that you like them means a lot as I was afraid the fabric was to "fallish" (if that is a word, LOL) for people in the exchange. The fabric is even prettier, I think, in person.
Can't wait to get everyone's blocks. I still have to put my name on mine and make a couple of labels for a couple of quilts I need to mail out. I'm such a procrastinator!!
    Piece and blessings,

Hi Mandymae! Thanks for the comments on my Chelsea Tote/Backpack bag (http://forum.missouriquiltco.com/alb...chmentid=19708). I did not have the pattern but watched a video Joan Hawley did demonstrating how she makes the bag. I wanted to make it larger and taller so made some adjustments on mine. The official pattern is called Chelsea and is 14" tall with a 8" square bottom. You can find Joan's instructional video here:

And a good place to buy the pattern is here:

I own several of Joan Hawley's purse patterns and she really gives good instructions with photos. I rarely follow patterns exactly though, and tend to make changes along the way Lol! The Chelsea really is an unusual pattern and a fun one to make. I may make another in a more standard size the next time. Have fun!

About mandymae
I'm 22 years old. Quilting has become one of my main hobbies over the past few years. I just recently had a baby boy. He was born on 9/11/11. :) He is my pride and joy.

I have another baby also, my dog Heidi, she's an all black German Shepherd. I've had her for a little over two years now (since she was 6 weeks old) so she acts just as much like a child. I swear she thinks she's human.
