    Oh boy! Thanks for the QAL link - it's amazing! I'm late, but I'm going to do it. What is the fabric line of her/your blue quilt? Looks like a lot of fun! Thank you!

    Just saw your triangle quilt pic. Just spectacular! I've never done one but my daughter requested a triangle quilt and I'm so intimidated! Was it difficult? Where do I find the qal or pattern? I love your colours. What a great quilt - you did an amazing job!

  6. Joann:

    I found the pre-cut standardization I want to show you! You might put this in your user notes!

    I have this precut, what can it make?

    The standard charm pack has 42 pieces of 5 inch fabric.

    1 – Baby quilt
    2 – Crib size quilt
    3 – Lap quilt
    5 – Twin quilt
    8 – Queen quilt

    A standard layer cake has 42 pieces of 10 inch fabric.

    1 – Twin quilt
    2 – Queen quilt
    A jelly roll has 40 pieces of 2.5 inch strips of fabric.

    1 – Lap/Twin quilt
    2 – Queen quilt

    A fat quarter bundle is 18 x 22″ cut of fabric which equals a quarter yard.
    I’m also including the finished sizes of quilts or bedspreads. Each size should be taken with grain of salt:

    Baby = 36′” x 54″
    Crib = 45″ x 60″
    Twin = 63″ x 87″
    Double = 78″ x 87″
    Queen= 84″ x 92″
    King = 100″ x 92″

  7. Joanne...I never get bored talking about bully breed dogs! Your Macie sounds a lot like my Dottie! And you're so right; the majority of folks are very ignorant when it comes to bully breeds! I feel as a rescue volunteer/bully owner, it is part of my responsibility to educate those types of people! Great to know you as well; I read yours sons are in California and Kuwait? I have a daughter (21) in the Navy who is stationed in San Diego and will be transferring to Hawaii next summer.....
  8. Well, I'm a fan! I volunteer with a bully rescue here in the Kansas City area! I had always owned border collies and small dogs until Dottie. Dottie is a rescue from the boothill of Missouri and I would guess she is a pit mix or Amstaff breed. She weighs between 40-45 lbs and acts like she as ADHD. She has the characteristics of an Amstaff, always willing to please, constant attention and very protective of her home/family. she has to get to know someone and she has to have no doubts have someone in our home. All I know is, she shows me unconditional love every day and Dottie has saved me during my menopause....
    Thanks, Joanne for the update....again, I think your pups are just cool as heck! I can't imagine my life without her!
  9. What kind of dogs do you have?...they are so pretty!!!!!!

About soul60s
I stumbled across this site from YouTube. I can't even remember what I was looking at on YouTube when Jenny's video showed up. I've always wanted to try quilting but I didn't know how to even start. M* videos helped with that and after 2 days of watching them continuously, I started lurking here.
I have two boys, 32 & 27. One is in California and the other is in Rhode Island. When my youngest moved out years ago, I took his room and made a craft room where I have my cheap Brother sewing machine, all my beading supplies and all my knitting supplies. Got a decent supply of yarn and beads, now I am working on my fabric. I am currently unemployed again and married my husband in 2004 on christmas eve. My husband had gotten sick that year from a tick bite and almost died. I promised him that if he got better that we would get married that year. This was in August. The docs gave him a 50/50 chance. After 2 weeks he got better. He came home only to have me break my back in September. So while in the back brace I was planning our wedding. He is the most wonderful man I have ever met. I am very blessed to have him in my life.
