Thanks, Mamaquilt! Very sweet of you to drop me a line! Hope all is well and you are enjoying the summer. Lots of rain here in London. Much needed so no complaints. I'll be in for a rude awakening when and if I move back to my home in California. The summer months are quite hot there at times. Happy quilting, my dear!

    Hi Michèle,
I think the big apple core is much easier. In a youtube movie from MSQC Jenny explains that it can be cut with a rotary cutter en there's almost no pinning to it. So if I had known that before, I would have bought the big one. (for Layer cakes) It is nice to work with fabric from old shirts.
Have a nice summer, Michèle, enjoy the weather and te garden. It will be fall again before you know it.

    Greetings, Lenie

oops, overlooked the first time.... your daughter is expecting! That's so great! It most be a party to make all these little baby things. Congratulations, is it your first grandchild?

Thank you. In the end it was all worth the blood sweat and tears, but oh boy are those apple cores a difficult thing to get right!

Thanks for your comments on my quilts. That little tumbler quilt is one I kept for myself, and is one of my favorites. I've seen your little knit fish and thought at the time that you have WAY more patience than I do. It must have taken forever to knit all those. Your knitting is great, I just know the basic stitches. I can crochet, but prefer quilting over working with yarn.

Your handiwork is terrific! I didn't realize that about tatting. Like I said, I really didn't know the difference. I can knit, too, and that is so much easier on the wrists/hands. I haven't done that in years, either. Quiting seems to be my passion right now, but then again beading jewelry was my passion before. I, too, needed occupational therapy on my hands awhile back, and beading seemed to fit the bill. And, greetings to you, too, from the great State of Texas. . .

My husband and I were just discussing crocheting versus tatting. I guess I don't know the difference. I though crocheting was bulkier than tatting. I know how to crochet, but haven't done it in years. It is hard on my wrist.

Thank you for you comments on my quilts!

I just updated the albums, so everything is on there again, I lost a lot of pictures I noticed. But all is well now.
