    Hi Debi,
I love your bio! I don't know how someone lives without Jesus, especially these days. Your bowtie quilt is adorable. Is there a tutorial for the block? Your daughter will love it!

I really like the looks of this system. Most of all, the compact look would fit in my sewing area. Must remember this name!"

Hi Deb. I have only had the Flynn system for 6 days but I think it will be great for small crib size, lap size, wall hanging and table topper quilts. The system as it is sold can handle up to a 45 inch wide quilt. If you want to quilt wider you will need to buy longer rods. This system still needs a lot of space and would not work on a small sewing table. You need about a 6ft long table minimum to quilt on so that the frame will fit as you move it from left to right of your machine needle. I am using my 108 inch long old dining room table. I do like the Flynn system so far though. I believe it will help me to practice FMQ and also do overall quilting of small quilts more quickly and easily. We will see how I like it after I have finished some quilts on it!
  7. I guess I respond to you right here, "pd". My eye surgery was just like cataract surgery. I had lost most of the vision in my right eye because like cataracts, the lens clouded over. Unfortunately, mine was more like "painted over", rather than clouded. It had to be replaced in order for my otherwise healthy eye to be used further. The left eye was just the typical cataract surgery, with hopes of balancing up with the right corrected lens. So far, all is well. They measured me at 20/20 at the post-op apt. My brain is used to compensating for the lost vision, so it is a struggle to "let" it see now, making this adjustment slow.
Thanks for your concern. What happened in your eye surgery that was not "well"?

tell me more about your eye surgery! would love to hear the details. You know i had cataract surgery last june - it did not go well. i am praying for you!!
  9. Hi! Suzi! Thanks for the greeting! Such a treat to see a notification! I'm just recovering from eye surgery. I was completely blind in one eye and had a cataract in the other. My sis came from NC to help me with my Dad while I recover (no lifting!) In spare moments, I've taught her to make 1/2 sq triangles, and she is stung by the QUILT bug! I hope to "blog" her progress soon. As for me, I'm hoping to do a lot more quilting with sight now! Have a blessed day! Debi
