    Hi Carol-Ann,

Thanks for all the great comments on my work.
I have about 30 hours in a day.......
I'm a hairdresser, have my own salon 3 days a week, another salon in prison (inmates all men) for one day a week, 3 kids (1 in the USA as exchangestudent, but almost june 18.....she will be home that day) I have 2 dogs, and still time on my hands to quilt......I love to stay busy and I don't like to watch tv. My sewing area is downstairs just next to the kitchen, my salon is also in my house, so every minute that is availible to do something I can just go in my sewingarea and leave everything behind me when a new customer comes in........my life is busy, but I like it that way.
So thát dear Carol-Ann is why I can get so much done.......hahahaha
My nickname is Martha Stewart........get everything organized is my hobby.......

Thanks again, you're always so sweet in your comments and so thoughtful!!

    Hugs,
    Klasien

Thank you Carol Ann for your birthday greeting. I don't know how I missed that earlier. Still catching up I guess.

I see you have added a whole lot more work to your Albums, I just did a quick scan and will go back and have a proper look soon.

Hi there! Got your sweet message; life is very hectic now, what with all the hoops we have to jump through to get new business set up. Lots of trips back and forth to WV, will officially move in about a month. My job search seems to be going well, have a second interview on May 10th. Hope all is well with you!!

    Carol_Ann,
Thank you for visiting little Ava's quilt. She is now going to have a little brother in August so I better finish the one I am working on for another niece and get busy with one for her. Wish these nieces would slow down!! Still have nephews, yet, that are not helping to produce little ones and that is a good thing!!
    Piece and blessings,
    Vicki
  6. Yes, pre-made satin and grosgrain - was in a hurry on that one - just tied with embroidery floss. Need to add captions to my pics. Thanks, Kathy
  7. Carol Ann....your quilts are amazing! Have you actually done all those yourself? If so, I am jealous and hope to be like you some day!!!! LOL! Seriously tho...they are amazing and so many Ideas...I hope to get some done for Christmas this year...thanks for the inspiration! And I LOVE your quilt room! I have a room, but it has to have my computer and "office" stuff but I am trying to find shelves and such to make it nice like yours...money is the obstruction, dont' you know! Happy quilting!

Thanks for your recent comments on the Dresden Plate quilts. I know how it is with a family wedding - our daughter got married last October. Did not do much sewing, but tatted a simple lace for the veil and then same pattern around 3 hankies (hers, mom and mother-in-law). Hate deadlines, under pressure to get it done. That border is far from perfect, has lots of imperfection and really wanted them to meet in the corner, but were off regardless of how I bunched or pulled. I will say it was a learning experience - not hard but time consuming. Yesterday afternoon sewed the last of the polka dot block to the other's I had put together, think I will just leave it without a border, but bind in a polka dot fabric. Also sewed another block from the scrapes that I had left - half scale - one inch strips. Think need to select better scale of fabric to go that way. Should post a photo of it later. Checked out your album - like the round sewing caddie. Take care - Robert.

Thanks for admiring my sampler quilt! It is only half quilted and I don't hand quilt anymore so I fear it will never be finished.

Thank you for responding. I have a lot of table toppers and placemats and quilts. Just haven't gotten to taking pictures and posting them. I watched Fons and Porter on machine applique--blanket stitch and they use a light tearaway stabalizer. I don't, just spray starch. Do you use stabalizer? Also I think my biggest problem is #1--slow down and #2 be more carefull with the straight stitch side. Sometimes I get a little too far away from the fabric for my standards. When I slow down it gets much better. Do you have any favorite places when you get or download the applique designs.
My 1st St Patricks topper has machine embroidery in the corners. The second one (for my DIL) I did do the blanket stitch around the cover. That took alot of time because it was so curvy. Thanks for your help again, Pam
