Hey doofie sis - check is fine.
  3. As I grow older I grow more comfortable. Threw away the bras the day I retired and haven't looked back. After all, the weight of the boobs keeps the wrinkles out of my face.
  4. You posted on Cancer Warriors about a need for more blocks. Sue told me she had about 26 so far and thinks she needs 42. I need to get my extras in the mail to her, so I would say YES, if you have the time and inclination to help her out. You, my dear friend, are a jewel . . .

GrammaBabs, You left a comment on my Blooming Nine Patch quilt. I don't know if the pattern is famous or not, but I have seen it available on the internet. The secret to this quilt is staying organized with your fabrics. You start out in the center and then the next row you either add or take away a color in the fabric you started with, and you continue to do that with each section until you get to the size you want. I spent over 8 hours making the fabric selections for the king sized quilt I made.
If I can be of any assistance or you have any other questions, just let me know.

    Hello Barbara.
Thanks for popping in on the Quilt for Douwe group!!!!

Today I will be going down to visit my brother, my bad bad cold is gone and it is save to go and see him.
Monday I went in the hospital to give some blood to be tested...........We all hope that one of us is a match.

Thanks again for the love, prayers and support! I feel the hugs from across the ocean for sure.

    Hugs,

We all have different ways of figuring things out and explaining things. My father-in-law can build a house from beginning to end, but don't get him to explain how he's about to do anything or else you'll both leave frustrated. That's why the mother-in-law doesn't ask anymore, just nods and says "Okay honey, let me know when you're finished!" lol Opposites don't necessarily attract, but they certainly seem to work together pretty well

And I have to add, I can't wait to retire and be "livin' lazy", but that's a few years away yet... Unless I can win the lottery A girl's gotta dream.... At least I got out of the city and moved to the "country". I can still throw rocks at the city, but at least I have trees in my front yard! lol

I will most certainly let you know if my "theory" works when I get my ruler I placed my order a few nights ago so it'll take a couple of weeks to arrive, but if I can get it to work (or even if I don't!) I'll certainly let you know!

And when it comes to math I can take a circle, square, or triangle and divide it up a million different ways, but give me a few numbers to multiply and I'm hauling out a calculator lol My husband tells me that calculus and advanced math ruined me because I can twist and turn equations and solve for variables and play with angles but I don't know my times tables lol I have to ask him all the time, "8 times 6 is 48, right?"
  9. LOL... this is a man... friend that moved in across the street... i get along great with his wife.. they are part of our once a week out to pizza group...LOL
His aging parents live there,, he visits regularly.. (wifey books him at least every 3 months...)..She's hating the day they have to dismantle the place being so far away...
I was thinking that someday i would fly there and stay in a hotel near M*,, is there is such a thing... spend a few days ... i have my two good quilting buddies that might be up for it.. I am not a traveler, NEVER would try it alone,, can't find my way out of a paper bag.. and not terrificlly "self reliant".. my dear friends know all that and take good care of me... i love to cook, and create and make messes... but am hopeless at "taking charge... So who know... someday i might just write and tell you "I'm on my way and is there anyone there to babysit me"...LOL
  10. Hi, Sweet Potato!! Hamilton, MO is about 45 miles from me - due East. I would go there weekly if I had the money and the time and effort . . . and if I truly needed some fabric. Now, if you come to see your friend in KC just let me know - I'm about the same distance from KC as I am from Hamilton. Oh, how I would LOVE that!! Let your friend know that Hamilton is between Cameron and Chillicothe. And, if he doesn't know where either of those are then let me know and I'll send him a road map. Hugs, dear friend!
