Welcome back Bob! I'm sorry about your brother, but happy you found your sister and her family and you're able to be with them.

The yardage price must surely be a mistake. It's $11-12 from other online vendors.

Barb, I'm so sorry. Knowing it's the right thing to do doesn't make it any easier or ease the grief. Prayers for you, Jeff, and Dottie. (((HUGS)))

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.

It is from Easy Quilts by Fons and Porter Fall 2013 edition. The name of the pattern is - In Alignment. The original pattern is 66" x 79" and uses 20 -11" blocks. Since I make quilts for Project Linus, I cut it down to measure 42" x 54".

If you can't find the pattern, I used 12 - 11" blocks. The print fabric is 8 1/2" squares. Each blue pin dot square is 2 1/2". The white fabric between the squares is 1 1/2". There is 2 1/2" sashing between the blocks. The white border is 1 1/2" wide and the blue pin dot border is 2 1/2".

I hope this helps and happy quilting!

Thank you for the pic comment. It wasn't too bad quilting around the butterflies. But it was worth it because my neighbor liked it so much he bought it for his grand daughter.. It was my first quilt to sell.

Thanks for visiting my album. I wish I had made that lovely floral quilt. I took that picture at a quilt show. I would love to make one! A nice applique floral like that is on my wish list.

Thanks again Sheena for you kind words. I love those 30's prints. They make such pretty "happy" quilts. As far as the points or corners. I had to work at it. Those tiny squares don't leave much room for easing in fabric so that points will match. I think I ripped out more than I stitched...if that is possible! LOL

If you had asked me while I was in the midst of making the quilt, I probably would have let you have it!!!

Hi Sheena, thanks for the compliment. The quilt with the daisy looking quilting and triangles all over is the Dresden Flower Garden, but is the back side of it. I actually drew the design on the quilt and then quilted it. The one that you referred to as the bluish one was the back of the Crossroads quilt. I drew that design as well. The difference is that I quilted the Crossroads quilt with the back of the quilt facing up and quilted the Dresden Flower Garden from the top. Thanks for looking!

Sheena, thanks for the compliment on my Dresden Flower Garden quilt. The fabrics are what is referred to as 1930 reproduction prints. The ones in the quilt are from different manufacturers and I bought them as yardage from my local quilt store. I love them. The baby quilt in my album (the one with the tiny triangles) is made from 30's reproduction prints as well. Those prints were all from a charm pack that I ordered from MSQC a long time ago. Glad you enjoyed the quilt.

About Sheena
I've always lived within a few miles of where I live now. I'm not far from the banks of the River Mersey and the wind comes howling along the river and batters my garden and house.

I live with the two youngest of my five children, six cats, two hens, four goldfish and a dog.

I enjoy anything arty or crafty, cooking and gardening.

As I'm self employed I can do a bit of quilting whenever I feel like and needless to say my accounts are constantly behind because I sew instead!

I've had many jobs in the past including teaching children with special needs.
