  1. Okay, I am so very, very confused. Here's what I think happened. I went in a short time ago and deleted all my visitor messages - so, in doing so I believe I deleted all the messages I had previously sent. I think there were two or three separate messages about the Bernina. This will only allow me so many letters in a message so there will be more than one coming.
  2. Just read your message about the Singer. I would say your DH is a wonderful man. Tell him SEWING machine oil (nothing else!!!!!) and a very, very good cleaning. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser with help take the gunk off. Good luck on his servicing. You can never go wrong with an old Singer!!!!
  3. You asked about my embroidery machine . . . I am totally biased!! I still have the Bernina that you saw in the photo (4x4 inch frame - works fantastic) and I'm up to selling it. A good 'learner's' machine. However, after I got used to it I wanted more room so I bought the Cadillac of embroidery machines - a Husqvarna Viking Designer Diamond - my largest frame is about 12x15 inches. It is a very expensive machine though but I absolutely LOVE it. There are many others out there and if you ask on the forum you'll get responses from those who love their Pfaff, their Janome, their Brother, their Berninas. I'd say do some research, determine what you want to pay and see if you can go where they are sold (try a Sewing Expo) and try one out.
  4. Just ask him - I'd pay you to send it to me . . . give me some details if he still has it. How long ago did this happen anyway?
  5. Seized a Singer? OH, PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON IT. Have you looked at my collection of Singer machines? I can repair most all of them - my granddaughter seized one of my Featherweights and I fixed it. Please tell me you still have the machine . . . can you tell me I'm salivating?

Hey Marsha, I don't know that i am an "expert" but I will try and help you any way I can. Any of the ladies and gentlemen here would be happy to help or advise you on anything. If you have a question you can shoot me a pm or if you want the whole gangs advise just put it up on the forum.
  7. Marsha, love your denim quilt. My daughter ( my only child) homeschools her SEVEN daughters. Actually the oldest is finished (at 20 with severe learning disabilities so she just 'gave up' = the granddaughter, not my daughter). The youngest is only 9 months old. But each of the other five are being homeschooled and doing fantastic! ADMIRE YOU!
  8. Hi Bec,
Thank you for the warm welcome. I will give you a lil info on me. I am married and my children are 9 and 5. I love to homeschool, it gives me the ability to she my children who GOD is and what real life is. That is great that you were a teacher, I give you all the credit to be able to handle more than two children heehee. I so think that teacher are way under paid and put up with alot of pressure to learn different learning styles and challenging students. I dont mean that with disrespect, I just see some of what my teacher friends go through.
I also sell Stampin up and close to my heart products...yes, I love to scrapbook too
I cant wait to learn from each other. Have you been doing this for a while? Can I bug you with questions? I have sooooo many and so much to learn.
Okay, will let my book end now lol.
    Hugs back,
    Marsha

Welcome! We have a little bit in common. I have two grown children. I didn't home school them, but I was a teacher and taught elementary school for 15 years. I have to give you credit for being dedicated and committed enough to home school.
Hope you enjoy our forum and that we learn a lot from each other. Hugs.
