Hey Trish! I have relatives near you in Chesterfield. I am actually from Richmond, been in Louisiana most of my life....but Virginia is still my home! 1 Thanks aliaslaceygreen thanked for this post
Trish...I loved all the pictures of the quilt show quilts. The big Sunflowers was my favorite. You really do take beautiful pictures.
You commented on my green stash from the Bus Tour in 2011 - I have to tell you honestly that I have three blocks completed . . . and I have all the 'stash' for this quilt stuck away in a container with my pattern. I am going to be doing a BOM Quilt from http://www.bomquilts.com/proddetail.php?prod=03092011-2 but the pattern is no longer available (I have it all printed out). It is called Black and White delight and each block takes 3 colors/patterns. I am using my greens and since I bought FQs I can get three blocks from each pattern. That needs to be on MY UFO list, right?
New swap is posted! REVERSED Jacobs Ladder ...Neutral tone on tone ladders with bright happy flowered backgrounds. capped at 25 players - would you like to play? join the group by clicking the groups tab above and the join easy peasy and no quilt police in our swaps! everyone is welcome
Thanks for your quick reply, Trish! That's a good idea to make the fleece backing wider so the binding is filled. I bought "The Angle Ruler" by Creative Grids (mentioned on The Forum.) It would be so great if that could be used for the mitered corners. From the directions and the look of it I don't think it will work. Looks like it's designed only for 2 -1/2" wide strips. Thanks for the info. and HAPPY QUILTING! Rebecca
Me, my sister and a few cousins started our own guild, the Sassy Quilter's Guild. Two of us have taught them how to sew and quilt. We meet once a month. We hope to branch out eventually! I wouldn't mind joining a bigger guild myself. Will see.
Just dropping by to wish you a very happy birthday, Trish!
Oh yeah, Happy Birthday!
Hey! I live near Chesterfield and me and my quilt guild went to the MAQF! It was our second yearly trip. We love it. It is big though, so we stayed 2 nights this time. I posted some pics on my page. We also spent a lot of money on some really great stuff!
We're definitely having lots of fun living in London. It's such a beautiful city with so much to see and do. Next time I'm in Richmond maybe we could meet somewhere for lunch and a quilt shop adventure. Maybe you could introduce me to JoJos. Until then I'll see ya around The Forum.
