Pam when I looked at your profile I had to smile. I love quilting, I make my own socks, I'm constantly reading e-books, and I consider myself an excellent cook. ... And my son lives in a Pittsburgh suburb with my granddaughters and my daughter-in-law.

Hi Pam. I have only had the Flynn system for 4 days but I think it will be great for small crib size, lap size, wall hanging and table topper quilts. The system as it is sold can handle up to about a 45 inch wide quilt. If you want to quilt wider than that you will need to buy longer rods. Even the standard system that I have needs lots of table space on both sides of your sewing machine. You will need approx. a 6ft long table minimum to quilt on so the frame will fit as you quilt from left to right of your machine needle. The Flynn system can be bought for anywhere between $115-$150 brand new. You might find it cheaper used but there are older versions that are not as lightweight and maneuverable as the newest version with the fiberglass rods. I believe this system will help me to practice FMQ and also do overall quilting of small quilts more quickly and easily. We will see how I like it after I have finished some quilts on it!

    Hello, Pam!
I love both of the St. Patrick's Day table runners you stitched. You did a wonderful job.
I enjoyed seeing what patterns you did.
