    Week 12, March 20 -26 Goals

Last week, I had problems with my machine, and wasn't able to finish my goals. So I am repeating those goals for this week. I'm leaving in a few minutes to pick up my machine at the shop.

    This week's plans:

    1) Finish quilting and bind the Sylvia jelly roll quilt (January's UFO!)
    2) Finish the Christmas pot holders started about 4 years ago!
    3) Cut out the fabrics for Izzy's snail trail borders.
If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you.- Zig Ziglar

Having your machine not working is absolutely the worst thing that can happen to a quilter...except for running out of fabric and the shops are not open.
I'm glad you have it fixed and back home ..

My goals for this week are the same as always...Get 'er Done. Something, anything, I don't care what it is, just finish one thing!

    Best of luck to everyone!

Thank you yet again, Sylvia, for starting our weekly thread. I probably will not sew a thing this week, as I am overwhelmed with work. I wish the rest of you many, many happy stitches!
Toni ... If I keep sewing long enough, will they make their own dinner?

I have had a great quilt week, for the first time since I finished up my January quilts. I am thiiiis far from finishing Andrea's wedding quilt (she got married last June!) and I am about to start FMQ Tracy's quilt (who got married June of 2014 ). On the other side of the room I was able to fuse the whole border of the sprigs and twigs quilt and started machine appliqueing it. That will be a long slow process but I am determined to finish this one THIS YEAR, down to the binding. This is my March quilt, but I will have to FMQ it in between other ones. I am declaring next week to be still March in the hopes that I will be able to get it at least layered and basted.

Keep plugging. As a wise friend said when we were bogged down road-tripping up to the border - "If we keep going we'll get there."

Pulled to a screeching halt by one of those mistakes that stops forward progress and sends you out looking for another hobby. I was tired and hungry, so things seem better this morning and I think fixing it will only take 1/2 an hour or so. But I got a ton done this week, thanks to DH being out of town. He got back last night so back to the routine, but I should be able to get close to finishing my goals next week.

          About this Group

We exist to help each other finish quilts. Our motto is "Git 'er Done!" If you have too many UFOs (UnFinished Objects) in your life, then we're here to help!

This group is dedicated to those of us who keep starting new quilting projects without finishing the ones we'd already started.

Each of us will create a list numbered from 1 to 12. Every month, this group will publish a random number between 1 and 12, and that's the project we'll all work on!

We're here to support each other. It's amazing how knowing what project to tackle helps to motivate us to finish what we start.
