    Rockin Lou's List

.. it's January 14th and I haven't managed to make my list yet! This doesn't set me up well for the coming year, does it? We've travelled 18,000 miles in the last 30 days, and though vacation was wonderful, life will change this year as we declined an offered contract renewal for next year and so we will be moving away from Kazakhstan. That being a reality means my sewing time might not be as plentiful as I hope. I'm going to London this week, I'll be lucky if I get the list in before I leave, so maybe my January goal will just be my list! ;-)

You lead such a busy life. "Dinna fash" about getting your list together. (I am rewatching Outlander.) We will be here when you find the time to make that list.

Well the list just has to be done in 2018. Maybe one of your projects will not be with fabric, but rather resettling your sewing space once you have moved. Good luck.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

If there was ever a good reason to not be able to sew, I think "I'm moving to a different country and we need new jobs" might qualify for the top best reason. I will be impressed if you can get a list together this year.

Still haven’t made my list!! LOL! However, I have been quilting and will have a finish soon, got a flannel quilt I started last spring quilted with binding attached this weekend, so will finish that up this week, most likely. I hope to make my list tomorrow morning... maybe! LOL!

Well, London was awesome, and we know now that we are moving to Morocco, so I’m going to see how much of my stash/unfinished shelf projects I can get finished, as my husband will most likely gripe about moving piles of fabric, but would never ask me to give up my completed projects

Okay- MY LIST - technically most of these are unstarted projects, only UFOs I have are in Atlanta, so I will hit those over the summer.... but I'll have to manipulate my numbers/list over the year due to geography as I'll be in Kazakhstan, then Atlanta for 7 weeks, then from August we will be in Morocco.

                #3 - done!
#1 - stalled because even though I have 50 spools of thread, I don't have one that matches.... so I'm trying to squeak #6 into February instead, which is a possibility! If not, I can definitely get #1 & #6 finished in march. #2 would be smart to do in March too, as they are for easter. (napkins & placemats)

my #9 is also in Atlanta.... but #4 is calling my name, because I want to put those pillows on my couch in Atlanta when we go back there in June. However, I also want that #7 done to enjoy this spring... I'll have to read the patterns and decide!

Wow! You have busy. All of your projects are great. I especially like the flannel quilt - the colors make it look so cozy!

Thanks! It was meant to be a birthday present for DH (in December) but he got it for Valentine's Day instead :-)

I've been bouncing between my Glimmer Pillows and American 5 yard bundle projects this month... the 5 yard bundle is a pieced top, but I won't be able to quilt it until I'm back home in June. So, I'm not sure if the pillows will squeak into May or not, I have to finish the binding, that's it :-)

                              Finished is Better Than Perfect

                              About this Group

Do you have some UFOs (UnFinished Objects) that you want to finish? Are you having a hard time choosing what to finish next, or are you just not feeling motivated? Do you have some specific goals you want to complete in 2018? This group is for you! We have a fun way to get those projects done in 2018.

                              Here is how it works.

First, you create a list, numbered from 1 - 12, of 1) things you want to finish; 2) OR projects you want to do; 3) OR a combination of 1 and 2. Then, you post your list to this group. (You can edit and change your list at any time.)

Every month, this group will publish a random number between 1 - 12. We will each work on that number from our list. If you prefer to do your list in a particular order, you can certainly do it that way as well. When you have finished your project, please post a picture here as well.

We’re here to support each other. It’s amazing how knowing what project to tackle helps to motivate us to finish what we start.
