    Kay's 2019 list

Well I didn't meet the 2018 Christmas goal for the Harry Potter bookcase quilt so I'm going to focus on it to begin with.

DONE1. Camp t-shirt quilt – Due by June – Donation to the Nebraska Youth Camp in Kearney NE.
DONE 2. Flower quilt for girlfriend - Find white material that matches what has already been used.
DONE 3. Harry Potter bookcase quilt – Son’s Christmas gift 2018, Ooops missed that deadline. Hoping to have it done by Valentines day 2019.
DONE 4. Baby quilt for daughter - Baby due in May
    5. Hexagon quilt – continue to work on this while relaxing at night.
    6. Holiday Flower block – All blocks are completed just need to sew together, quilt, label and bind.
DONE 7. Jelly roll quilt for son-in-law – Begin taking apart the uniforms.
    8. Red and White embroidered Snowman quilt – Sew blocks together
DONE9. HST group – keep up with this swap all year long
DONE 10. Nephew and Nieces baby quilt.

Well I finally got # 3 completed. Started January of last year. My wonderful Husband did all the embroidery for me.

I saw the picture. It is really stunning. Isn't it great to have husbands do the embroidery?

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

I feel like I'm cheating. Hubby is on medical leave and I talked him into doing #7 on my list. He did a super job and I am currently binding it. Will post pics when it is finished. Wonder if I can get him talked into doing another one on my list.

Lucky me. Hubby did the majority of this one(#7) and is so proud. I'm blessed that he wants to learn and play with me in my sewing room.

Finally got the pictures posted of #2 and #4.
#2 - Girlfriend quilt. The top was pretty much done by her mother I just had to finish adding the white fabric around the edge and machine quilted it. The quilt looks like it is tied because that is how her mother would have finished it but each tie is actually hand sewn on to look like it is tied.

I am please to announce that I entered my Harry Potter quilt at the county fair and got Best in County and Best in Show. Now I am State Fair bound.

              About this Group

Do you have some UFOs (UnFinished Objects) that you want to finish? Are you having a hard time choosing what to finish next, or are you just not feeling motivated? Do you have some specific goals you want to complete in 2019? This group is for you! We have a fun way to get those projects done in 2019.

              Here is how it works.

First, you create a list, numbered from 1 - 12, of 1) things you want to finish; 2) OR projects you want to do; 3) OR a combination of 1 and 2. Then, you post your list to this group. (You can edit and change your list at any time.)

Every month, this group will publish a random number between 1 - 12. We will each work on that number from our list. If you prefer to do your list in a particular order, you can certainly do it that way as well. When you have finished your project, please post a picture here as well.

We’re here to support each other. It’s amazing how knowing what project to tackle helps to motivate us to finish what we start.
