    zenetac's ufo list

This is a long list, as some may be completed earlier and let me get to others on the list. It is broken into sections. The "Waves of Glory" quilt needs to really take precedence, but I will work some on it every month while finishing out others that are closer to complete.

    Quilting ufo list
    1. Christmas blocks
    2. Christmas butterflies, small
    3. Christmas butterflies, large
    4. Butterflies, large
    5. Halloween
    6. Purple spark and strip
    7. Rock candy table runner
    8. Bluebird quilt
    9. Travel set
    10. Music placemats
    11. Pillow shams, 10x10, 12x12, and 12x16
    12. Mini rings quilt

    Mom quilt ufo
    1. Waves of glory(all cut out, need to sew top and back due to size)
    2. Unexpected twins set (Completed 3 March 2019)
    3. Diamond dog quilt

    Additional ufo
    1. Small strip quilt
    2. Strip tease quilt
    3. John and Serena quilt ( fabrics and pattern have been selected )
    4. Strippy quilt(need to make use of fabric quilt wall)
    5. Wall quilt(currently on fabric quilt wall)

Work on my Main number three (Christmas Butterflies, large) was started, but it is still a long way from finished.

The John and Serena Quilt has progressed quite a bit. A pattern has been Chosen and most of the fabrics have been chosen and purchased.

I have a new UFO. The top needs two borders and then it will be ready for quilting and binding. It is a "Scattered" Quilt made using the Cat-I-Tude fabrics along with some additional "solid" fabrics. I think I will have to have it quilted for me, as I don't want to deal with quilting an about 80 inch x 80 inch quilt.

Hurrah, one of the quilts from the unexpected twins set is completed. I shared a picture above.

Finished the second quilt in the unexpected twins set today. They look wonderful and my parents will enjoy them.

Congrats for your finishes! May I ask? What does "unexpected twins set" stand for? What was unexpected, the set or the twins?

The quilts are twins to each other. It was expected to be one, but a slight misread of the pattern created two quilts instead of one. I will post a picture showing both soon. The prime difference between the quilts is the backings. This will make it very easy for my parents, who will receive them, to tell the quilts apart. There are variations in the tops, but they are very similar since I started with the exact same fabrics for them. As I was sewing them, they became a rectangle that would not fit any bed and so were cut in two and then finished. The quilts have the same borders and binding. Only the backings and the quilting differ.

              Thanks, now it makes sense!

The "scattered" quilt is now quilted. The next step is to bind it. This will happen later in the year after my move is complete.

                About this Group

Do you have some UFOs (UnFinished Objects) that you want to finish? Are you having a hard time choosing what to finish next, or are you just not feeling motivated? Do you have some specific goals you want to complete in 2019? This group is for you! We have a fun way to get those projects done in 2019.

                Here is how it works.

First, you create a list, numbered from 1 - 12, of 1) things you want to finish; 2) OR projects you want to do; 3) OR a combination of 1 and 2. Then, you post your list to this group. (You can edit and change your list at any time.)

Every month, this group will publish a random number between 1 - 12. We will each work on that number from our list. If you prefer to do your list in a particular order, you can certainly do it that way as well. When you have finished your project, please post a picture here as well.

We’re here to support each other. It’s amazing how knowing what project to tackle helps to motivate us to finish what we start.
