I've finally made it home - BELATED THANKS

Most importantly - Thank You All for a wonderful experience. The shops are nice and shopping is great but sharing with a friendly group of quilters was fantastic. I haven't started unpacking yet ... and will save going through the favors as a reward.

So the total trip came out to 4,730 miles. Only hit 2 fabric shops after Hamilton - very unusual for me - but I am quickly tiring of hauling fabric totes. Steve & I are casino hoppers. He gave me money to play with and I am proud to announce I still have the original amount and $21 more! Casino give aways were chip & dip trays and a lighted ceramic Toy Shop for my Christmas Village. Add to that 6 free nights at casino hotels plus numerous buffets and chicken strip lunches ... well it made it easy on the budget!

So if anyone is still reading posts in this group - my birthday trip is over. Next trip is to a town 35 miles away for 3 weeks. It's a solo retreat so I can concentrate on sewing .... first up will be that star quilt Jean taught us .... Steve's repayment for driving 4,500 miles.

Miss seeing you all - wish the retreat was longer so I could have spent the time and gotten to know you better! Til next year .....

Glad you two made it home safely. Thanks for allowing us to share in celebrating your B-day.

On another note, hope to hear some special news from another member of the retreat group soon-Charyti you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey, she surfaces! Glad you are 'home' and hoping you found everything in good condition - know you were concerned about the hurricane in your area.

Aren't we all concerned about Charyti? Did she have due date?

Judy, so glad you made it home. It was great meeting you and Steve - I also wish the retreat was longer. Have fun on your get-away. Say hello to Steve for us.

All I remember is Charyti was due in November.

Judy, glad that you have made it home safely.

I am still hanging out. This one is in zero hurry to get here. The estimated due date is November 13 and from the looks of it, that time will come and go. The tests show that everything is perfectly fine. So we are just leaving things be for now.

Charyti, you slacker. You were supposed to deliver on November 2.

Judy, you guys are going to have to buy new tires! That is a lot of driving. It was good to see you again this year, and Steve as well, although I think he hid more this year than he has in the past.
            K is for Karen 😊..................

            H - is it HELPFUL?
            I - is it INSPIRING?
            N - is it NECESSARY?
            K - is it KIND?

Enjoyed you at the retreat Judi. I am glad that you let us all help you celebrate your birthday. 4700 miles for one trip that is easy on the budget is amazing. Of course you probably made up for the easy on the budget with the shopping you did along the way. My trip to Hamilton this year was only about 1600 but that and a couple other trips I took this year added up to my driving more than 11000 miles out of state this year. I am happy to be home and I am sure you are too.

Hope to see you again next year.

Glad you are home Judy. Say hi to Steve for me. I love hearing about everyone's travels. Makes me want to wander across the US and beyond.
