    Finally home

It seemed like ALL of the road construction crews were out today and ALL of the traffic was headed to Albuquerque, then it dawned on me that it was. People are headed to town for the Balloon Fiesta that starts on Saturday. Our population increases by 100 thousand or more for the next week.

I made it home about an hour ago. Mike got the truck unloaded for me and I didn't even ask. Bandit finally stopped jumping all over me, so life here is back to normal.

I had a great time. It was such a fun retreat and a great group of people this year. So glad that all of you "newbies" braved the waters and came to join in the fun with us. I am still amazed how how many first time retreaters we had with us, and you all fit right in without missing a beat.

A huge thank you to everyone for the awesome favors and a special shout out to whoever thought to include those peanut butter crackers with the etched plate. They were my snack for the trip today. None of the fast food places looked or sounded good, but the crackers hit the spot!

    Before you speak,
    T - is it TRUE?
    H - is it HELPFUL?
    I - is it INSPIRING?
    N - is it NECESSARY?
    K - is it KIND?

Glad you made it home before the worst of the traffic. Living in Canton with the Pro Football Hall Of Fame I well know the traffic situation. As one of the newbies this year, I will say that everyone was great, and I didn't feel like a newbie for long. I am already planning for next year

We are dreading an influx of an estimated 40,000 over the weekend in this little burg of less than 2,000 residents so I just can't imagine, Karen.

Glad you didn't have to make any backtracks or sleep in the car in a strange place . . . and did you see that Carol owned up to needing that brown nightgown?
Sometimes, when there's a raging fire,
it's best not to try to put it out with gasoline.
