    Week 2- Are you SCARED?!

    Alright, so TWO things.

First of all, last weeks giveaway was so much fun we just can't decide the winner ourselves! So, we've picked 3 at random and we're leaving it up to you! Out of these 3 lines of fabric entered by your fellow community pals which is YOUR fave?! And to make it just a little bit SWEETER.... Those of you that vote for the WINNER get to be winners, too! A 5% discount off ANYTHING you order from the shop this week!

Second, (ya I'm just getting to #2)... THERE'S A NEW GIVEAWAY!!!! Hooray, Hooray!

We want to know what pattern most intimidates you and if you've been brave enough to try it out?

Just like last week, pictures give you a better chance to win. Oh, and we really like success stories. So if you've already conquered your big bad quilting fear...tell us about it!
    Good Luck!

For me the Mariner's Compass has always scared me, so many points and precision being very necessary. I think if I paper pieced it would be easier than machine piecing but I haven't got up the nerve to try it.

haha, it doesnt look like we are helping out the picking process cause right now its at 50 50 and a mariners compass is a good scary pattern, I need to think of what mine is.

Novice Quilter, glad to have you here!! Looks like you have the same problem I do, we gotta come up with our most feared pattern....

That's a line straight out of Michael Jackson's "Ghost" video - "Are you SCARED?" How funny. I'm only afraid that I won't be able to come up with the best patterns, tablerunners, etc. for all of the fabric that I am buying from Missouri Quilt Co!

I'm currently working on my scariest pattern...a Grandmother's Flower Garden. I only started it because a friend gave me a bag of pre-cut hexagons...I figured if your gonna do it...do it big!!!

Re: Week 2- Are you SCARED?!

I have been thinking about this.............I don't know about alot of patterns, because I'm new at this, but anything that is not just a square, or triange that you get from the square looks hard to me. Mistys flowers look hard. My grandmother started an improved nine patch many years ago. It has curved pieces. It was so hard she didn't finish it. MY mom gave it to me a couple of years ago and I finished it. I didn't do it like it was suppose to be done though. I just sewed the nine patch block on to a square block and made it that way. It was my first project and what got me started quilting.

Maryonlake all I can say is WOW! That is beautiful. I would be totally scared to work on that project.
I have only worked with squares and rectangles. Anything with triangles would intimidate me. I would like to do something with flying geese, but all those triangles make me run!
