My question this week for you all is:

If (and when) you splurge, what is it on? Are you a big spender on food? On music, decorations, cars, fabric? Do you keep it all for yourself or do you share? .....spill your guts. I am dying to know your inner hoarder. ( i know it's there, just admit it!)

I splurge too much on fabric and on vintage bedsheets. My budget is practically nothing and still I hoard! I definitely have a hoarding tendency, which I DEFINITELY get from my mother :shock:

When I splurge, it's always on yummy things like food and fabric :-). I'm also nuts for nice bed linens and books. I got a Kindle for Mother's Day, so it's been fun to acquire an electronic library.

I guess if I splurge ..it would be on food....and maybe a little on fabric....budget is tight now so not much to splurge on anything.

I'd have to say a night out for a nice dinner for all of us. It's very rare that we go out to eat together since there are 5 of us.

After that I hit Lancaster (PA) and hit the fabric shops - mostly to just walk around and see what grabs my fancy - but still looking for sales.

I have to say fabric is my most favorite item to splurge on. But I also am a sucker for really nice Christmas movies and every year like to add at least 2 to my collection.

I splurge on fabric....and patterns...of course I look for sales BUT fabric is definately my splurge. I feel like I balance it out though. I buy lots of item used so I feel like I balance it out...

I haven't allowed myself to splurge much lately, but when I do it's on fabric and Starbuck's! Yum!

I splurge on fabric and remenants. I have 22 + plastic storage containers full of fabric, 4 big shoe organizer's (and need more) full of remenants. 2 plastic containers full of scraps and full of selvages. Then quilting magazines and quilting books come in second and then patterns of any kind (clothing, crafts or baby apparell) come in third. Then thread. My husband threatens to sell it. Lynne Leavell

FABRIC, to cut up and re-sew.

I've been buying
charm packs, jelly rolls,
and fabric specials galore,
they have a daily special
with cheap shipping
it's here! Try out their store!

I need more fabric
(Yeah, right!) so I'm going
to buy some of today's daily special!
Cream fabric
I can always use!
Fabric - it's always beneficial!

It's hard to post after loonybird with the cute poem but my sentiments are the same.
I have no other urge to splurge than with fabric. When I see a new line of fabric or something made out of one of my favorites, I have to go out and get some. FABRIC - what else is there???

I can't resist the urge to buy fabric when it is on sale--whether I need it or not. I honestly have 6 jelly rolls, 10 charm packs and I have no idea how many yards of just other stuff I have. I am having to stay away from a store today because we are out of money. But they are having a 20% off the entire store today. I am trying to stay busy so I don't think about it. How addicted am I!! My other splurge is on treats--caramel apples, cookies, chocolates, etc.

Oh yeah! Splurging. It would be fabric probably. Also, I got into cake decorating in the last couple of years so I also splurge on the doodads for that. I'm really wanting to splurge on a midarm quilting machine right now. Anyone know of a gently used one for sale????

OKay, I admit it I'm a fabric hoarder Though I do share with my DD, who at 17 has just developed a love of quilting/sewing. Yeah! A sewing buddy!

I am a fabric junkie. I must constantly be on the lookout for new fabric or fabric on sale to add to my stash. My poor husband just shakes his head and puts up with my obsessive fabric cravings...without too much of a fuss anyway. However, with the economy taking it's toll on our finances, I have had to slow down some but not completely.
