    Week 29 Quilting tunes....

This weeks winner is bopeep! Congratulations, and we hope you love this pattern! Email me your information and we will ship it out asap.

This week my question to you all is: Do you listen to music while you quilt? Do you like soft, peaceful music, or are you a rock out kind of gal? Or do you prefer to quilt in silence? I have heard some even like to listen to books on cd. So, what helps you 'get your quilt GROOVE' on?

The prize is a Jennifer Pagnelli, Dance with me, charm pack! (you are gonna LOVE it!)

    Congratulations to bopeep!

I usually quilt in silence. We discontinued our satellite tv, and I really appreciate silence now. I always like noise, whether the tv or radio/music, but now love the silence.

I know a lot of people would think I'm weird, but it works for me! LOL!

Congratulations bopeep. I usually sew in silence, but occasionaly have on a classical station. I really like the quiet; I'm a retired teacher! However, when I do any handsewing, I'll have the TV or TIVO on.

TV doesn't work for me, unless I have a huge pile of things to iron.

I prefer books on CD or music on quietly in the background. Most of my sewing is done at night so no loud thumping tunes.

I typically listen to the tv. I sew on my kitchen table that is adjacent to the living room tv so it's great background noise.

Phew - I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to have the tv on for background noise! I also enjoy having NPR on sometimes. It never occurred to me to listen to books on tape but I love that idea! I'll have to give that a try. Maybe the next giveaway could be suggestions for good books to listen too...

              Congratulations, bopeep!

I'm a talk radio junkie! The TV is too distracting for my ADD brain The closer it gets to Christmas, though, I'll probably tune in to Pandora for some tunes.

I have background noise...not necessarily music but tv on. If I'm not understanding a pattern or seriously trying to concentrate I nix the noise. I have several friends who listen to book on CD....hadn't tried that.

                  I am a political junkie so if Rush is on, I'm listening! I also listen to Mark Levin as he tapes his nightly show and the next day I can listen whenever I want. Both through my computer. Other than that I mainly listen to Classic FM on iTunes using my computer again. {Love my laptop!} It is a Dutch radio station that plays all classical music interspersed with the news every hour delivered in Dutch, of course! Sounds like a great prize! {fingers crossed}

I'll listen to music if I don't have anything else, but I actually prefer to listen to a favorite movie or one of my weekly tv shows. I don't usually "watch" tv more than to glance at the screen anyway, so quilting is a perfect way to keep my hands busy while I listen.

I listen to books while I sew.(on my ipod) I have done this for many years and have "read" a lot of books. If I 'm not listening to a book, I listen to talk radio...Rush, ect.....

Congrats bopeep!! The TV is on ALL the time here {emarassing...but true} but when I am sewing sometimes I have to back it up and watch again if I think I missed something good. It is mostly for background noise!

I sometimes have the radio on to classical or 'oldies', but usually just me and the machine.

I just found this site and signed up.

I usually listen to music on my iPod when I am sewing. My favorite types of music are progressive metal and folk metal but I like many other kinds of metal too. I have often thought I am the only gray haired old lady that listens to bands like Opeth or Turisas while quilting.
