Brand new to the blog, and looking forward to it! No sewing today because I have to work. However, since it is Easter weekend, and all of my family will be home for the weekend, I invited everyone to my house for a day of sewing on Saturday!! 4 generations - my Grandma, mother, myself, my two daughters, along with my sister and sister-in-law are going to have a little girls time and sew together! Should be a great day. Happy Easter to all!

Im taking a break from filling over 200 plastic eggs for our family egg hunt on Sunday. Spent the morning shopping around for the best deals on candy...gonna be a lot of hyper kids on Sunday! LOL

Drove out this morning to see my almost-98-year-old aunt, then 45 minute drive back, quick trip to thrift shop, then got my hair cut, then to Good Friday service. Hoping to cut out a few little girl dresses tonight for a charity project.

I worked all day, and right now I am just sitting here trying to get the energy to get the sewing machine going for DD's quilt. Just thinking about it, makes me feel better. It is going to be soooooo cute when done.

Well it is supposed to be " Good Friday" but I am not feeing good about it! I did manage to finish my Grandsons denim Quilt for the cottage. Should be elated but I feel empty now. Have to start on my newest Grandaughters cottage Quilt.... What shall I do?...Val

Today I spent the afternoon with my two Granddaughters. We decorated egg shaped cakes. We had fun! They are good girls. We enjoy each others company..

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S: rougealar!

Today . . . FINALLY finished the second of my BOM for the local quilt guild . . . FINALLY. Got my Wild Things blocks out to mail and realized I needed Suzi's address AND need to make some labels for the back . . . and my internet was down all afternoon. Took a brief nap, watched Judge Alex, took two DGDs to the ice rink, took them home and had a wonderful dinner with DH at Goochy-Goo's BBQ.

Oh my, a rainy day here but atleast no severe weather. I had errands to run all day so wasn't able to "stitch". I'm typing up some notes from a number sewing classes I've been taking. Love those classes where I always learn something new and also get to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow sewers.

Decent weather. Should have mowed the lawn. Spent the day working on the Wild Things blocks for the swap and my daughter's version of the quilt. Can't wait to see how hers comes together. Tomorrow is bread baking day for Easter and possibly hard boiling eggs for dying.
After supper it's back to the sewing machine for more block construction! Between the two projects there are 1485 pieces to put together! I must have been nuts.....

Finishing up on a quilt top. It is a bow tie pattern for my husband. It was raining all day so I got a few loads of laundry done while piecing. I did all of my outside errands yesterday while it was nice and sunny.
