I've been feeling a little wonky lately and I wonder do you wonky? Wait, it's a valid question! Some people love some don't but I want to know if you like it! I'd also like to know if you've ever tried it... it can be a little intimidating breaking away from our straight lines and perfect measurements What do you think? Congrats to Linboose!!!!!!

It is funny that you asked this question. I am about 1/2 way finished with a Dr. Suess quilt from Fons and Porter. There are alot of wonky seams and trimming blocks wonky also. The first time I had to cut a block at an angle I must have checked that sucker 4 times. But I am really enjoying this and I think my Grandson will enjoy it, this is for his 1st bday in April.

Oh yeah - and its more straight lines and perfect correct measurements than you might think !! Pieced my Summer 2010 Block Swap blocks together in WONKY fun

Fons and Porter did a kite applique a few years back and the applique stitch they used was irregular (wonky) and it give me the confidence to do that with some of my applique

Wonky is good! Sometimes I go crazy trying to make it perfect and I have to stop and think - where is the fun? Also, like the sound of the word.

I havnt tried Wonky either.. I do love the more traditional quilt style tho... no desire to try wonky yet.

I've not actually tried wonky, but honestly, I'm not so crazy about wonky. I have seen a few I liked, but the truth is...everything else in life is wonky...the straight perfect lines of piecing is peaceful to me. I am open-minded however, so I won't say I'll never do it, just not right now.

I love wonky, and even sometimes do wonky when I'm trying to be straight. I watched Alicia Merrett yesterday and really want to try some curved - off the wall quilting.

I haven't quilted wonky, but I have found that after spending a good deal of time in this quilting community, I am now using the word wonky in my daily vocabulary.

Ohhh noooo - I can't do wonky! I have trouble just doing multiple colors instead of a monochromatic theme. My daughter, who is an SLP, says I have 'sensory' issues. I might have to SLP her!
