    Week 17 Sugar Pie- Honey Bun{ch}

Congratulations 'Laura in Lewes' you are this weeks winner! Email me your information and I will ship that adorable fat quarter bundle to you asap.

This week up for grabs is the adorable Neptune honey bun. 1 1/2 inch wide strips of awesomeness. You will love every minute you will spend with this honey bun.

Question is: Are you 'crafty' outside of quilting?? What are your other hobbies? We would love to know more about you and you know how much we LOVE pictures.

My 'other' love would have to be photography. I love taking pictures (not being in them)

So, chat away.....I can't wait to read all about you.

My very most favorite hobby is genealogy and family history research. Sewing and crafting bring me great pleasure, but I can get lost for days in research![attachment=0:30pu0j61]Bemboys.jpg[/attachment:30pu0j61]

Besides quilting I love to knit...and I also scrapbook, do decorative painting, and a few other odds and ends of crafty stuff in there too. I'm a self described "craft ho". If it's crafty, I wanna try it!

Outside of crafts, I am a bellydance enthusiast...I've danced for 20+ years, I teach and run two troupes, etc. Before you get the idea I must look like Barbie..I don't, and neither to a large percentage of women who bellydance - we're all ages, sizes etc. (I tried to add a pic, but can't tell if it worked - i'm the short round one, LOL). When I have TIME - which i'm lacking cause I work full time AND go to college - i also like to garden.

I love all things crafty - scrapbooking, cross stitch, etc etc. I find that I have to limit myself to my few favorite ones or it can just get away from me!

In addition to quilting, I also enjoy greeting card making and candy making. I am so obsessed with quilting lately, that I don't get to anything else.

Well I really love to sew and when I am not sewing I wish I was sewing! I do scrapbook, love the water, gardening, reading and genealogy...but mostly I love to sew!

Congratulations Laura - hope you have a great time with your bundle
Let's see - what are my things besides quilting.. well, at my age (almost 66 and born an artist/crafter) there isn't much I haven't tried - This was a good question - it was good to have to take a minute and think back at the long list of fun things and sort of tell myself "ya dun guud, gurlfren" .. now , for pleasure and relaxation I mostly do redwork and hand piecing and hand quilting. I enjoy machine piecing and quilting, but that's to get something done - to try new things. Truth being told - I quilt as an excuse to buy fabric.
If you can't see it riding by on a fast horse - it ain't there.

Where do I begin......... I am a scrapbooker (for 13 years), card maker, jewelery maker, baking, home decorating. I majored in college in textiles and design so I used to sew clothing, but now I just buy off the rack! There really isn't a hobby I have not tried. I used to crochet and knit, needlework I am awful at cross stitch. I love the look but for some reason the way I hold the needle makes my wrist hurt terribly! My friends and co-workers nicknamed me Martha. Also I love to go to Home Depot and Lowes. DIY home improvement really intrigues me. Weird I know!

I'm a knitter - mostly of socks (14 pairs so far) but I have started a sweater.

Well, let me think: when I am not quilting or when I am on the road, I like to knit. I have re-discovered knitting socks since they are an easy project to carry along.

I love crafting in general. I am game for trying my hand at just about anything crafty. I love sewing, but can only sit at the machine for short periods, so I have to have other options. I love, love, love jewelry design. I hope this worked. Here is a picture of one of my latest efforts. The color of the beads is actually an amber color. I loved how it looked with the pearls and gold findings... anywho that's what I'm working on at the moment.
                          Keep on Crafting!

What a lot of lovely things you all do .. when i was a young mom I baked all our bread twice a week, including cinnamon raisin - wopuld take that loaf and butter and a sharpe knife to my husbands work where we'd share and pig out for a minute -then the kids and I would walk back home - made for a perfect pre-nap activity for all 3 of us
I also tried my hand atnoodle making - HAHAHAHA - if 2 eggs are good, 6 must be better!!! I had noodles hanging on hangers all over the entire house .. we lived near the Oregon coast wher we had some humidity - no, those noodles never did get dry .. but I needed to express my creative self .. i t hink I went back tocrocheting then.

I like to do all types of crafts but I enjoy working with stain glass. I find it alot like quilting, your working with the patterns, cutting and fitting the glass just right so it all goes together making a beautiful finished project. They are so much alike. And when your all done you really have something to be proud of cuzz you've made your project with your own two hands.
