    WIP - Sept 13-19, 2019

Looks like everyone is busy with life.

Just vacation for us this week. I didn't even bring a piece of fabric to fondle. I might Google LQS but this town/village is small.

    Happy sewing.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

I hope I will be finished with the Fairies (last "kids") quilt by Friday... Been on the needle since Spring. These go out to a special gal and her 3 babies.

The quilt guild I belong to here in Vermont, offered a challenge to the guild members last May (our guild takes a break over the summer). The challenge was "For the Birds".....the quilt had to be bird themed or bird fabric used. The size requirement is no smaller than 36X36 and no larger than 60X60. The challenge quilt will be donated as a community quilt charity! Here's my take on the challenge...I am bound and determined to finish this today!!!!!

Nothing to show off here, still working on Irish Chain started in April. Just wanted to say I love all these pictures of works in progress you all posted. Our members are so very talented and the weekly eye candy is something I always look forward to!!

I don't normally post on this thread, but do enjoy reading about all the progress you are all making. Since I've gone back to work, 9 months now that is flying by, I don't have much time to sew or quilt. I did however finally start quilting a t shirt quilt for someone at my son's former high school. Well I used thread that blends, and somehow my tension got off, so I have been ripping out the quilting since Sunday. Hopefully I can finish the ripping today and start quilting again. Of course, that will depend if I have a precious 2 year old come to spend the night with me. One day it will get done.

Finally got over this miserable cold that lasted nine days. Now it is the height of ragweed season. Give me a break, please. Anyway I made some progress on the Butterfly Haven quilt pattern. I finally got all the fabrics to play together nicely when I added the very thin lilac border around the center panel. Such a little thing, but it really pulled everything together.

I had to really improvise the center from the pattern directions, but I think it looks sweet. Next I have to decide what color to use to snowball all the corners of the light green floral blocks.

Sherri, your bird quilt is lovely and I really like the simplicity of it.

Denise, your Butterfly Haven is really beautiful. Everything is so cohesive
