I had a big chuckle over this meme on Facebook!
I feel somewhat guilty about posting this enabling statement, while, at the same time, I am trying to use only my stash. But, isn't that common in all situations - mixed feelings? I don't want to encourage anyone to buy fabric if they can't afford to do so. I have experienced, though, the effect that when I start buying fabric, it is hard to stop doing so. But, I do reign myself in, after all, I do want to have money for those boring things like a mortgage and food!
I am still FMQ my own bed quilt. I had the unfortunate experience of having to "unstitch" almost a 1/4 of the quilt because the tension wasn't correct. Of course, I though it was, and went merrily on my way. But after examining the back, I saw that there were too many places where the tension just wasn't right. The cause of this problem is something I want to document for future reference.
Meanwhile, I have to get back to holiday gifts. I still have to get to Joann's and buy the pattern for the pajama pants. Maybe I'll just order it online. I want to make 6 pants by Thanksgiving, and I also want to make a reading pillow for Izzy before her birthday, Nov 21. Hey! I'd better get back to my sewing room.
What are you working on? What are your future plans?
