My design wall is full of HST blocks for a challenge I was doing this year. A bit behind - but only 10 more blocks to go. It will have sashing strips between each block. It's gonna be a big one!

No design wall here, but I have been pondering about where I could place one. Thank you, Grannie Judy, for your service.

I got inspired by a free pattern called Sticks and modified the concept to work as a string quilt using the Missouri Star 10 paper piecing squares.

One test block done, 27 FQ cut up into random wedges, and ready to sew.

no wall here either, just the floor. Currently, working on two tops that are finished and need to be quilted, and then two sets of pillow shams are next (to go with the quilts). hope to have Texans wall hanging complete tonight.

I wonder...............if I clip the flannel tablecloth to the shower curtain, would that work? I would have to take it down for showers but that should be easy.

Laura,, you'll never know if that shower curtain works or not unless YOU give it a try.. I've heard of lots of innovative ways to hang some flannel for a design wall.

Love those HST quilts. I have a small one I am gonna try. It's from left overs that I couldn't make myself throw away. LOL.

And how do you who have NO design wall work with your fabric??? Patterns?? My wall is very small ( crib/lap size)..and I am always looking for ways to do things.

I love this idea... after reading the directions I think your are pretty darn smart using those paper piecing squares. Seem like your method is much simpler and easier.

Judy, thanks for your service doesn't say enough! Your design wall is wonderful. How clever to use your test blocks for your very own QOV.

Here's what' on my DW. A Bento Box Block quilt in the making. I couldn't fit all 50 blocks on my wall. Don't think I want to make a quilt THAT large, but might make this one bigger and put the rest into a lap quilt. Thanks for looking.DSCN1191_01.jpg
