JOIN Now for funky Flowered fun!

here are a few selected precuts i had handy to show the look we will be going for with these - think "novelty" fabrics. stash diving is encouraged (trust me - this is stepping outside the flower boxes for us! most of our stash is florals and fancy flowers and geometrics) make yours in all the same or many different - it is up to you!

I LOVE those fabrics!!! I've been collecting some that I have no plans for yet. Wish I could join the swap, but I have two donation quilts promised asap. They aren't even started yet. If I get through the first one fast enough, are you going to specify a certain finished size? Since everyone's seams are a bit different, I'm wondering how that will effect the disappearing patterns.
I know, no quilt police. Just curious since I haven't made any disappearing blocks yet.

Here is my first block. A little tricky at first, but think I'll get the hang of it quickly. Thanks Suzi for your help.

I was looking for such a swap but let me get this straight: I make one and then I mail to someone else. That's it. right?
And we have to use bright funky flower!

Great job on your first block gypsylady!!!

Julliet - for this swap you will make 1 block for each player - (20 players = 20 blocks) and then send them all to the host - thats me - after the blocks are all recvd i swap them around and return them home to you easy and fun and a great way to make new quilting friends.

I hope you will decide to play!! join the group at this link http://forum.missouriquiltco.com/gro...ring-swap.html

Re: DHG2 Funky Flower Spring Swap

Hi all... Suzi is the best... I have only ever (In over 4 years).. joined ONE swap... it was the "Jacob's Ladder spring floral"...
She gives plenty of time..the fabric choice is very generic and fun... I will say though that not so many showed pictures of their "finished quilts"... (over 20 member if I recall)
I'm really tempted to join and just might,, but I need to be sure I will make the date because I NEVER make a commitment unless I will follow thru NO MATTER WHAT!!!!
For those wondering how the finish looks... here is my spring floral... I LOVED the finish...GB

Suzi, this one is soooo tempting! I am gonna wait until after the holidays and make a test block to see how it goes.

I would also love to join but not sure about the time frames either; like GrammaBabs, I would never join and not deliver on time so I just have to be careful. I just joined a mystery quilt group and swore I would stay caught up as each month came out. Plus I am going on holidays for the whole month of February. And my last excuse is I am a bit burned out from all the commitments I made to get 5 quilts done for Christmas. I did it but need a little bit of a break on deadlines.

I will let you know after the holiday rush is over. (Now up to 33 for dinner tomorrow so I'm running out of gas).
