    Flash Weekend

Does anyone remember Flash Sewing Weekends? I remember when I first joined the forum that many still working weekdays could post their goal of what projects or UFO's they wanted to get done on the weekends. I really enjoyed this challenge as it helped me get the mojo going again. Easy to do just a few hours and got smaller projects accomplished.
Could be good to get it going again.
Tell us if you remember or joined in. Our new members may enjoy it as well.

That must have been before my time. I joined the get it done group this year. I think that's the name of it. Anyway, it has helped me to see my progress and keep going. Since retiring I do spend more time sewing, but at first most of it was for several different charity groups. While I am still involved with those, I am also getting more of my projects done too.

I have been here for 11 years, but I don’t remember that. I didn’t participate in swaps or daily chats at first. My schedule didn’t allow me to add extra things not already on my agenda.

I don't remember it either. I do tend to get more done on the weekends when Mike works! lol, this is not one of those. My sewing room could use a good 3X through with the vacuum before I start anything else. I do want to get rid of the carpet in there... one day!

Lot of things were different before I came here but it has been a good group. I miss a lot of the older members that were here in my early days. Starlover, Shermur? Havent heard from them in a whie.

Starlover and HillbillyHeike are on the 'other' forum. I don't always get there but I try as often as I can. You should pop in and say hello if you get a chance.

my mind just does not think of quilting related activities when read 'flash weekend', it sounds rather expensive.

however am supportive of the stitchery, so what you working on this weekend Granny Fran?

Got the 3rd of 4 quilts my DD's friends left with me to finish from their great aunt sandwiched. Hand pieced flimsies and boy are these last two going to be a challenge. These are hand pieced grandmas flower gardens and the piecing is less than optimum. Now I see why no one else would touch them. However, in the spirit to get them done for these two ladies, I am going to do my best. Both are full size quilts. Should keep me busy the rest of the year. LOL

I have been here a ling time and also miss many of those here then. I do not recall a weekend group. I sure would love to be a part of that as I still work full time and its tough during the week to get a lot of sewing time in

Are you maybe thinking of the 'Virtual Quilting Weekend' from Quilting Board? I remember them having them often but I haven't been on there in a very long time.

No, but maybe I am thinking it with a different name? Anyway, someone would post a challenge and I remember if was fun. There was a member called Rosie (or something like that..no longer here) usually would start it. This was in 2014 or 2015.
