Are you sure you didn't add an extra block?

    Cute pattern.

Make sure the machine needle is in the center position. Some machine stitches have the needle moved over which can cause issues. Check that each block is 2 inches after it's sewn. Good luck!

Exactly what I was about to suggest.

Oh, that's a super cute pattern. I hope you figure out a good solution. I'd love to see the quilt when you finish.

It isn't a precut. I'm doing the North Pole Sampler with Shabby Fabrics and am having issues with the snowball block. My finished squares are exactly 2 1/2 inches. I will go back and check my 1/4 inch seam allowance, but have never had this much of a discrepancy before... The math above makes sense though. I'm not the first person in the group to have this issue either. I was thinking of taking out one block and put a small piece of white fabric on each end.

    By my calculations each inside block should measure 2" (13 x 2 = 26) and each outside block should be 2.25 (2 x 2.25 = 4.5) with a total of 30.5. Some else please chime in .....

It should end up at 30 1/2 - what's likely happened is either your squares didn't start at 2.5 or your 1/4 inch seam is off. If there are pinked edges, that can also sometimes play into it and you'd need to check whether the 2.5 measurement is at the peak, the valley, or the mid-point of those pinked edges.

2.5 starting size = 2.0 finished after all seams are sewn
    15 x 2" finished = 30"
Add on the first and last squares still have one side unsewn @ .25 each = 30.5

I think pattern measurements are off...

I have 15, 2 1/2 inch squares to sew together in one long strip. The finished product with 1/4 inch seam allowance is 32 inches. The pattern states it should be 30 1/2 inches. Did I do something wrong. I have never been this far off in my measurements before. I am a newer quilter though. Suggestions?
