    Scrapbooking themed fabric

I am about to pull my hair out!!!! I've been searching (in vain) the internet for weeks for Scrapbooking themed fabric. I had some several years ago that had lots of scrapbooking stuff ( sissors, tape, glue, etc) on a black background.....but I can't even find that online now.

A little background - I used to be a paper scrapbooker and moved on to digital scrapbooking. My DIL and I went to 2 or 3 crops a year with a great group of gals. Well now that I've discovered my sewing machine I don't even do the digital scrapping any more, except the yearly family vacation book I make. l Anyway I digress.....The girls keep bugging me to come to one of the crop weekends, but the places they go just aren't set up for me to bring my machine and sew while they crop....until now. In April they are renting a house that is set up for retreats for Scrapbooking and or Quilting.....and I'm going too!!!! They will all Crop and I'll Sew. We usually bring a little goodie bag or something for the others (there will be 10 of us) and I have decided to make those Pads that you put your sewing machine on and it has a pocket that hangs down for your sissors and tools. The only difference is it will be for them to put their Circut machines on. Got all the measurements form the gal that is setting everything up, but I CANNOT find scrapbooking fabric.

I was hoping some of you searching Gurus could help me out. Or if anyone has any lying around they don't want I'll be happy to buy if from you. The crop is about 6 weeks away and I have to make 9 of those puppies, so time is running out for me. HELP!!!!

I agree about the cost being too high. I sure hope you can find the fabric you want. Your idea is wonderful

Does Tim Holz ring a bell? A coworker used to do lots of scrapbooking and cards. He came out with a line of fabric that looked like papers you would use for scrapbooks and cards. Fabric.com has some

Those are cute! What if you altered the pattern so that you only used this fabric on the front of the pocket? If you used it on the whole piece most of it will be face down under the machine.

If I ever got it all together, I'd be too tired to do anything with it.

I wish I had some, I would send it all to you. I have I Spy 5 inch squares if you think you could make those work but they are mostly kids, animals, food themes. Let me know.

A few years ago I tagged along to a similar event for scrapbookers and quilters. Ha! I was the only quilter there out of about 50. Good thing I was hand quilting something, all I brought was my quilt, hoop and a handful of tools. OMG I could not believe the mountain of equipment those other ladies brought! They came in loaded with roly polys, suitcases full of paper, scrap books, cricut machines, extension cords galore-- and you think quilters have lots of tools and gadgets?! I never saw so many different kinds of scissors in my life, and hundreds of stickers and colored markers! There was hardly any room for me at the table!! It was a lot of fun. Your idea is great and I hope you find what you are looking for.

that's a good idea Lyn...I would probably need to use a different pattern. I'm using Jenny's tutorial and you use a half yard front and back and turn one end up for the pocket. It's really quick and easy.
