Hi All, I have been looking for a pattern that I have seen made several times but not sure how to make it myself. I don't know if it has an offical name so it makes it very hard to find a pattern. I am hoping that if I can explain what it looks like someone can help me. It is a a strip quilt with all horizontal strips, each strip is a differerent size from one side to the other. So it could start off as 3 inches on the left but only be 2 inches wide on the right. Does this make sense.. Any help would be great.. Thanks, Jana

Re: looking for pattern
3 inches to 2 inches doesn't sound like much size variance. Does it gradually get smaller or are the sizes all different throughout the quilt? Oh and do the strips run the full length/width of the quilt?
Sorry one more, quilt or wall hanging?
To stitch or not to stitch... There is no question.

Re: looking for pattern
Hi Jana. I haven't managed to find a quilt where the strips are the whole width of the quilt. Here's a tutorial for strip foundation piecing: Foundation pieced strip quilt
I think you could extend the straight foundation pieced strip block to the width of a quilt and you would get the effect you're looking for.
