    Tension trouble while free-motion quilting

So this is my first time quilting. I have the quilting foot in place, everything set on the machine. I start quilting and every time, no matter how fast or slow I go, the tension on the bottom is wrong. I have re-threaded and set the tension on all settings. HELP!

Could it be your thread? I have to use machine quilting thread on top and bottom. Maybe a new needle? I'm just guessing.

I've had this trouble to and for me it was that the top was set on automatic tension. I don't know if it was the top or bottom tensions you were switching up already but I found that if I manually set the top it usually worked pretty well. Sometimes still not perfect but always much better! Good luck! Let me know if you discover anything else. I'd love to know a new trick
To stitch or not to stitch... There is no question.
