    Stonehenge question

Can anybody tell me if the Stonehenge line is a type of batik? I quilt by hand and batiks are a bit hard to needle. Stonehenge looks like batiks but the description doesn't say either way. I might want to order some for a quilt back but not if it is batik. Thanks.

    H - is it HELPFUL?
    I - is it INSPIRING?
    N - is it NECESSARY?
    K - is it KIND?

        Not bad to hand quilt.

Not a batik. The fabric has a nice hand. It does seem thicker than regular quilting fabric but a very nice fabric.

            Re: Stonehenge question

I used some Stonehenge fabrics from my stash on the Bordered 9-P quilt I just finished. I haven't posted the pics yet. It seems to be a very nice cotton, but slightly thicker than some fabrics. Definitely not batiks.

Agree with the others, it is 'thicker' than a typical quilt cotton. It's a nice fabric to work with.

One of my favorites, I believe their slogan is "cotton that feels like silk"

                  Re: Stonehenge question

I love Stonehenge fabrics, they are printed cotton. They are constantly coming out with new prints that take their form from nature. I use it a lot in quilts and bags.

Not a batik and a lovely quality of cotton.
