    Your favorite pattern?

What is your favorite quilt pattern to use if you have prints you don't want to cut down too small?

    TIA,
    Susan

I had a charm pack that I didn't know what to do with. I came up with this.

One charm pack, 8 five inch squares of a complimentary color and a bit of white yardage for the 8 half square triangles and remaining outer border. Quick and I will be making this again.

A lot of the Maple Island Quilts are made for prints you don't want to cut too small:

I have made several and they go together fairly quickly.

I would imagine, an Illusion quilt would be great if you didn't want to cut down your fabric to small.

It could be made almost any size, you wouldn't have to stick to a layer cake. I have seen some with charm squares on pinterest.
There are no perfect quilts, because I am a imperfect quilter.

Deegles - I love your quilt! I may have to try that one with some of my stash.

I just located the pattern that I love to make with a large scale print. "Walk About" by Grizzly Gulch Gallery I love how easy it was to put together. It uses 13 10 1/2 inch squares. It also gives instructions for lap/twin/queen/king sizes. The other blocks are half square triangles. It ends up looking like path around the quilt top. Wish I could post a picture, because it really is easy and fun to make this quilt.

                      Here's a pattern also called Walkabout. http://50.87.217.193/blog/2016/12/fr...walkabout.html

I made it but don't have pictures yet. I increased the block sizes to 12 1/2".

There are a lot of great patterns I loved. The most recent one that I like most is called "Southwest triangle", colorful triangles from Timeless.

I just completed a king size walkabout quilt in Edgar Allen Poe fabric for a special request by a friend. The patter is quick, easy and really showcases a large print!

Didn't remember that I could post the web site pattern so you could see it. https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop...-quilt-pattern
The difference between the 2 "Walk Abouts" seem to be that the squares are snow-balled In the walkabout and left square in the "Grizzly Gulch" pattern. Either one would be cute.
