    Sew, Sew kitties tutorial

How do I keep the points of the ears when sewing blocks together? This is a darling quilt.

Have you sewed a block together yet? If you have, and used accurate 1/4 inch seam allowances, I think you'll see that the ear closest to the middle/top of the block is a 1/4 inch shorter than the ear in the upper corner (hope that makes sense).

If you go back to Jenny's tutorial, @ 8:30 minutes, she holds up one block (with the blue background), freeze the video, look closely and you'll see what I mean.

As you sew two blocks together (side by side), the next seam allowance will "even" those ears out, and then after attaching the rows & binding, you should have nice pointy ears all around.

May I suggest, using scrap fabric & sew four blocks, sew them together into one big block and hopefully you'll see what I'm trying to convey.

Thank you. I will attemp to make a block. It is "sew" cute. Going to make it for my oldest daughter. Hope her daughters (16 & 14) don't get it.
