    Batiks and non batiks

    Can you mix batiks and non batiks.

    Or is that a quilters no no

    I hope it's ok to mix. I just basted a 3 dudes w/twist top, it is a roll of 2 1/2" batiks strips and a roll of 1 1/2" cotton solids used in the top with full cotton backing.

      I mixed them in the quilt I'm doing now. I think they look lovely

        I have mixed them in many quilts and never had a problem.

          I mix them all the time. They look great with non batik fabrics.

            Yes you can mix them. Be sure and use color catchers in the wash the first time the quilt is washed.
