I have the Martelli version, because my husband bought them for me when he thought I needed them. I don't like them.

I have something similar that I bought many years ago. I used it a few times but never really liked it that well.

It looks cool, but I realized how small a piece she was working on. Would a heavy piece be that easy? If it's not that expensive it might be worth a try.

I also have a Martelli. I used it when one hand was out of commission. Did have partial use of thumb so I could "hold" onto one of the handles. It also might help if you are wearing wrist braces with metal inserts for some wrist injuries when you can't hold your hand flat.

Anything that can keep you going in enjoyment of quilting is worth it.

I have never used a halo nor seen the need for one. It's too limiting. I do just fine using my hands & wearing the Machingers.
