I've offered to make a quilt for my goddaughter who will be attending college next fall. She would like a quilt with the colors green, purple, and black/navy blue. Can anyone think of fabric lines that have this combination and are age appropriate? So far, I've thought of Catalina and Fresh Lilacs. Thanks for your help!

Recently shopping for purple and loving what I am finding, but it's harder to find something for a young college woman that doesn't look old ladyish. Not that that is a bad thing for us old ladies, but teens, not so much.
I don't know any collections that would give you precuts all in those colors, but I can tell you two collections with the required colors as a part of the collection in beautiful prints that are read much younger. You could combine yardage to pull together a palette. It's Valori Wells Jasmine collection and Tula Pink's Slow and Steady. The collections have a similar feel, so you could combine several prints from each collection and come up with a great quilt. M* has them.Comment

Try Raindrop from Cotton + Steel
Pretty close to what she's asking for with some other colors so it's not too dark. Certainly a younger vibe. Have fun with it, she'll treasure it I'm sure.Comment

I made a "Hour glass/Four patch with these fabrics in another colorway... It's awesome. I loved it and so did my sister when I gave it to her... I agree with the suggestions for Valori Wells, Tula Pink and the Cotton and Steel collection. I think they would be more appropriate for a college age young woman. Catalina and Fresh Lilacs seem a little old for her. I don't know her - maybe she would love them but I think that age group would prefer something more modern in feeling.Annie
