Marking A Stencil

I want to use a stencil to make a border design on burgundy color cloth. What would be the best way to mark the design? I've never used a stencil before. What's a good place to buy stencils?

I agree with the Crayola Ultra-Clean markers. I just bought some & did some testing. Used unwashed fabric & did 2 lots of marks on each piece of fabric. I ironed one set of marks on each piece & left them sitting around in the sun for a week or so then washed them. All marks washed off with no traces and none of the marks has since reappeared.

You can spritz them with a spray bottle to remove them too.

I use frixion pens for most part. pounce iron off for dark areas that are large. For small dark areas I use a soap pen.
