    Today's DD & a zippered pouch question

I was tickled to see today's DD because next on my to-do list is zippered pouches for xmas gifts Can't wait till it gets here!

I've been wondering though: instead of the fusible fleece, could I just spray baste & do a bit of quilting to hold the pouch pieces together before sewing it up?

Certainly you can do that. That's what I do.

I have tons of fleece scraps and I have been using them. They are not fusible..but they do the job.

I have a lot of zipper and fusible fleece but I was thrilled with the tutorial on the bags. I love how she did the zipper ends. I may need to make some of these for gifts too.

I had just ordered a ton of zippers from Amazon and today's DD happened like magic, lol

I'll be making pouches for nieces & nephews and popping a gift card in - way easier than trying to shop for kids I don't get to see often! The zippers are a bit smallet than I thought (should have read ALL the reviews!) BUT they are plenty big enough for small pouches
