    Marking tool for batiks

    Relatively new quilter here
I searched our forum here on marking batiks (which I use a lot). I read every post and still feel like a 'deer in lights'.
I have a stencil I am thing of using and wanted to do a current poll on marking tools for batiks that do not pose problems with removal. I wish there was a more definitive answer. I know Frixion is not good. And I know to test, regardless of the tool. I generally buy quality batik fabric. Any fool proof tools here? - (fool being the operative word here. Lol)
    THANKS

Fons and Porter or Sewline ceramic marking pencil. I use this on batiks all the time

ChacoLiner pen from Clover has been great for me. The lines brush off with a stiff bristle brush or will wear off.

Another vote for the Chacoliner. I have also used stencils with the pounce pads. I know other people have said they don't like those. For me I would only mark a little at a time because it tends to brush off when you are handling the quilt. Which is a good thing when the quilt is done but not so great when you are working on it.
