Hi! Does anyone know the colors that were used on the autumn sweet stars pattern from the daily deal email that was sent on October 19, 2016? The email had a picture of the quilt with the words charmed and bewitched across it. I know the background is navy blue, the MSQ girls suggested the 30's palette jelly roll but that is incorrect as I purchased this and the colors are not the same. Any help would be appreciated as I just love the color combination. Thanks!!!

I think the background is Carbon rather than navy. Peppered Cottons does have a Midnight blue but its not quite that dark as in the picture. https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/browse/3972 (Carbon is on the last page)
FYI Peppered Cotton is a shot cotton, the colors can be almost iridescent depending on the warp and weft color combos. It's the only shot cotton I know of that is quilting weight so it easily mixes with your regular quilting fabric. It must be stunning in person! The designer, Pepper Corey, says to always prewash this because of shrinkage — yet they came out with precuts that can't be washed. I always prewash this, and it does shrink differently and more greatly. I'm sure precuts are fine so long as you know how the fabric behaves, just so you are aware it would not have a flat and crisp look. Not to be fussy about it, but it is not standard quilting cotton. It is the softest, most delicious fabric! She has a blog where she talks a lot about her fabric, it's well worth a read if you use this fabric. It doesn't require special care or anything, it's just best to understand that it's not your average quilting fabric — I'm pretty sure it's made from butter because that's how it feels. Gorgeous, gorgeous fabric.
I work with a fabric company called Studio E and after a long time, we've come up with a line of almost-solid colors that's getting a ...
Shot cottons have been around for yonks but it's only in the past 2-3 years that quiltmakers have discovered them. I'd been hoarding scraps...

Haha I agree! Thanks for the info about the fabric. I didn't know anything about the fabric and I didn't wash it first. I just got it because it is what my son chose for his quilt. I did learn that the quilt I was trying to find the colors for was quilted using Kona cotton solids but you have given me the idea to use the peppered cotton fabric instead. It will be hard to choose the colors as they are all beautiful. But it is wonderful to sew with that fabric. Thanks again! So excited to get started.
