Now that I have the cat quilt done and the backing in hand what color thread would you use to quilt the top with? I will be doing a paw print stipple pattern so it will go across all the colors. 003.jpg

When in doubt we almost always use a medium grey - it seems to blend in well with all other colors and you will notice the piecing more than the quilting.
Sometimes, when there's a raging fire,
it's best not to try to put it out with gasoline.
It depends on whether you want the quilting to stand out. If not, I'd go with the medium gray or a silver. If you want it to stand out, you could use any color that's in the quilt or a variegated.
