Prairie Points

Traditionally, do the points face the quilt or the border? There are 9 big pinwheels (3 across and 3 down). I just got the quick points ruler and want to make the double pinwheels before the binding. Can't figure out how to get the photo out of drop box to share! Thanks for your help.

Typically they face the border. But I have seen them done both ways. I think it is just personal preference.

I think when they point inwardly they are called shark teeth. Same as prairie points. Just turned the opposite way
