    Table Runner with pointed ends

    Hi,

I was wonder if someone could answer this question for me. I want to make a table runner that has pointed ends. I know if I fold the ends in half, stitch across and then flip, I'll have a perfect point. My question is this, how much fabric do I need for the ends to make sure I'm not going to cut off part of my design in the runner or is there an easier way to do pointed ends? All help is appreciated!!

This is a hard question to answer because it depends on the width of your runner. What I recommend is to take and piece of fabric and fold it to the length and width of your runner and pin or baste the ends together and turn them. You can then measure where the point will start on the runner and adjust your length accordingly. I made a lot of the 10-minute runners and this technique for making the points is so simple.
