Good Morning! Great Grandmothers Quilt Pieces - Help - Have no clue what Pattern!!!

I was gifted a large bag of quilt pieces by my mother-in-law. I have muddled through 6 quilts in various stages of completion and have 3 more to do. This one is driving me crazy. I am assuming it is an appliqued quilt. Lots and lots of these petals..affectionately referred to as the "Petal Glob". Any ideas what it could be. Similar to a sunflower. Kind of like a tulip. Thanks for looking.IMG_0658.JPG

I wonder if you put two of these with outer circles facing away from each other, and they become flower petals?

Just found this on Pinterest and may run with it. Smaller inner circle and pull in alternating solids. Will just have enough for 10 quilts lolol Another suggestions? sunflower quilt.jpg

You are too patient. I would have thrown my hands up in frustration at the sight of all those pieces!

I don't think I would be patient enough to sort through those, either!

You could do something abstract like this...

Hopscotch Leaves Imagine playing hopscotch on a vast sea of leaves. If you have size 7 feet and this quilt, you can. A plethora of colorful fall leaves meander across the dark green background. This large quilt is suitable for a centerpiece in a large room. I designed this quilted wall hanging,

Is it paper piecing? Or is the piece that looks like paper just a pattern for the petal?
