Need some help on a pinwheel quilt

I am making a pinwheel quilt. Sewing the 8 triangles together gives me a knot on the back. I read something about rubbing it out somewhere but can't remember where. Does anyone remember or know what to do or am I doing something wrong....what have others done? Thank you for helping.

It truly is so much easier when you release the last couple of stitches and swirl the knotty area.

I usually use the Clover Pen when pressing where all those seams come together. My first quilting instructor once said, if all else fails, use a hammer. She had a small wooden mallet that she used to help flatten those bumps.
