    stabilizer question

Same chevron quilt as in previous post but it is made from children's clothing. I am planning to use stabilizer on the clothing because most of it is knit fabric. My question is whether I need to also use the stabilizer on the white contrast fabric in order to keep the thickness of the fabrics consistent. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

    Re: stabilizer question

There is a thread entitiled Tee Shirt Quilt started on September 16th that has really good information. I personally have used Pellon Sf101 on my tee shirt quilt and have been very statisfied. Good luck.

      Re: stabilizer question

I make T-shirt quilts all the time and I do not use any stabilizer on the contrasting fabric just on the t-shirts. I get along fine doing it this way. Now if I am not using quality fabric and it appears to be thin and I can almost see through it then I will back it with stabilizer but most of the time I do not.
