First of all you will make your white blue blocks. They should be a standard light - dark log cabin. 2.5Dark center/2.5white/4.5 white/ 4.5 med/7 med/ 7 white/9 white/ 9 med/ 11.25 med. The stars are actually formed by a 2 strip sashing. The strips are 11.25 with the corners being made by sewing a 2.5" Dark square diagonally across the end. That is the part you will have to watch to make sure it goes the right way. After you sew that one you sew a 2.5 inch dark square on the end. You join 2 strips together with the angles long point to the outside. That forms the 4 square at the junction. It is beautiful and very basic and simple. I would make all the log cabins first since they are all the same and then make up the amount of white sashing pieces you want and how many of the blue patterned sashing pieces you want. I would print out the photo and maybe put it on graph paper so you can lay it out right. It looks like you will need 30 white pieces of sashing( 2 strips in each ) and 32 of the patterned blue. I hope this helps. I will see if I can transfer it to EQ and have it make sense. I looked and like you I can not find a pattern for it.

I think this will work for the pattern of the blocks. After I checked it looks like all the blocks are the same. All fabric is cut to 2.5 inches. This way the sashing is a piece of the block which makes more sense. Let me know if this helps 234131.jpg.

Yep. Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day series, Star Log Cabin. I've made one with black and white fabrics and have a stack of fabrics to make another with turquoise batiks because I didn't have enough contrast in the first one. It was fun to make and fairly quick once you got the hang of the process. Makes a really pretty quilt.
