On an image search through my browser which was a deadlink in pinterest. But I have the photo so that is a start.

The tip of hearts and gizzards seemed so close. I looked in my book of 1000 great quilt blocks. Low and behold that quilt block is on the same page as hearts and gizzards. The book calls it snowball II. Which makes sense because it creates two circles. I have found another quilt with this name on ebay. If you look how it is constructed, you would just have the change the fabric up a bit to achieve your goal.

This is a great quilt. Will use up lots of scraps. I'm sure there are many ladies who put this quilt on their to do list. Kathy

The quilt originally posted by Deegles looks to me to be a bit different from Hearts & Gizzards. That one looks like curved pieces. This quilt acts lushly looks to me to be straight lines (yippie!!).
Why couldn't this be done by cutting the ends off a HST and swapping them for another center in contrasting color?
I hope that makes sense....
